More expats than ever have had their say about living and working abroad in the world’s largest independent survey of expats.
This year 3,146 people in 30 different industries and 50 countries across the globe completed the Expat Explorer 2009 survey.

The first report of the Expat Explorer series has revealed that the current economic crisis has had a
significant impact on expats’ financial situation.

  • US, Thailand and South Africa are the most affected expat locations
  • Almost half of the expats surveyed in the UK are considering returning home
  • Despite the economic crisis, expats are wealthier and save more than in their home country
