How can I be sure that this new website belongs to HSBC Bank International?
There are two really simple ways to be sure:
- Our website address is 'www.offshore.hsbc.com'. This should be displayed in the address bar of your browser. Take care to check that it is spelt correctly. Whilst we do have other registered website addresses, they will always redirect you to this one.
- We also protect our website with a secure digital certificate, which is an identification card for a website. If you have the latest browser and operating system, such as Windows Vista, our certificate will turn your address bar 'green' and 'HSBC Holdings plc (GB)' and the certificate authority 'VeriSign'.
You can read our certificate by double clicking on 'locked padlock symbol' in the browser's status bar - at the bottom of the page or in the green address bar at the top - to check that the page you're viewing is legitimate.
We always recommend that you type 'www.offshore.hsbc.com' in the address bar every time you wish to visit us online, as this will also help you be sure that you're on HSBC Bank 's website.
In the very unlikely event that you do suffer loss through Internet Banking, we guarantee to refund you 100% of any loss sustained through unauthorised or fraudulent transactions on your HSBC Bank International account. We will also reimburse you 100% if someone uses your debit or credit card to pay for anything online without your authority, subject to our Personal Banking Terms of Business.
