Important information for customers who shop online

If you shop online using your HSBC Bank Credit Card you need to be aware of security services which are being used as a fraud prevention practice.

From now on you will be required to register with these services for certain online transactions.

The services are called Verified by Visa and MasterCard®SecureCode™.

They are designed to help prevent any unauthorised use of your HSBC Bank Credit Card when shopping online. Not all retailers participate at the moment but for those who do, you will need a password to complete your online transactions using your credit card.

To register call HSBC Bank on +44 845 6063535 where you will get a temporary password to enable you to register with MasterCard and Visa.

During registration, you’ll confirm your identity to us and set up a password to use when you make future purchases. There are no charges for any of these services.
