We have made a number of changes to our Personal Banking Terms of Business.
Key changes have been made in the following sections:
A number of changes have also been made to our Tariff of Charges . Among these are amendments to aspects of our standard service for those customers that do not qualify for Premier. In line with our Terms of Business (Clause 1.4), we are providing 30 days’ notice of these changes
Fax instructions
Please note that for fraud prevention reasons, we will be phasing out the
acceptance of instructions by fax from 1 November 2009. However, if you are registered for Internet Banking you can check balances and carry out day-to-day transactions such as payments, transfers and foreign exchange and send us secure messages.
Please note that you will need your 10-digit Personal Banking Number (PBN) and 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for Internet Banking and Telephone Banking.
If you have forgotten these numbers, email a request to offshore@hsbc.com or call us on +44 1534 616313 if you are a Premier customer, alternatively call +44 1534 616000. We will resend your PBN to you via email and, for your added protection, we will send your PIN to you via post. (Please note that due to our reliance on the postal system, it could take a number of days for you to receive your PIN.)
